This song by Paul Williams is performed by him in the first video and by Karen Carpenter in the second. It is about melancholy ("the blues") and the need for love. We can listen to some phrasal verbs and present tenses. In the quiz we are asked to fill in the gaps in the lyrics. There are a full transcript and some notes. Reading this latter, especially the fact that the singer died of anorexia, we can start a debate on depression and its consequences.
