Observe. Egyptian tombs
Look at the three types of Egyptian tomb and do the activities: Explain the differences between a mastaba, a pyramid and a hypogeum. What was the function of each construction? Where is the sarcophogus placed in each of them? Why were there false chambers? Describe the hypogeum in detail. Why were there paintings on the walls? Why were pharaohs buried with objects from everyday life, statuettes and treasure?
