Radio Waves & Electromagnetic Fields
This simulation explores the physics behind radio transmission and reception. Students can broadcast radio waves from KPhET. They can wiggle the transmitter electron manually or have it oscillate automatically. The field can be displayed as a curve, full field or vectors. The strip chart shows the electron positions at the transmitter and at the receiver. Students should explain how frequency and amplitude affect the forces in the field.
