this 3 minute report from VOA explains the Amish way of life: they chose to live without technology. They were prosecuted in Europe because of their extreme religious believes and they are now a thriving community in America. Students can listen to simple past and present tenses and vocabulary about the countryside. They can discuss if they would enjoy this lifestyle. There is a comprehension quiz but no notes.
